For Kids in High School

Fun. Social. Train.

Is your high school kid looking for a fun and social activity and group? Our High School Club can be a perfect opportunity to get activity, have fun, and meet and hang out with other high schoolers.

Our High School Club is designed for climbers or aspiring High School climbers that may or may not be interested in competition, but want to develop their climbing skills in a fun and relaxed environment with their peers. With up to 12 climbers per club, participants receive coaching while building stronger technique through games, drills, challenges, and climbing-focused activities.

Throughout the course, participants will develop stronger skills in:

Intermediate climbing movement and technique
Climbing strategy and route reading
Confidence, leadership, and teamwork

Pricing

ÜG Members: $75/month
Non-Members: $120/month

Member pricing is available to participants who have an active ÜG recurring or prepaid membership at enrollment and on the 1st of each month. Memberships that are terminated after enrollment will result in changing to non-member club due rates for subsequent months club fees.

First Month

If fewer than 4 practices remain in the month you enroll, your first month of Club dues will be prorated based on the number of practices remaining.

Program Requirements

Age Requirement: Marmot Club is designed for youth in High School - typically 14 to 18 years old.
Partner Climbing: Our clubs are designed to teach climbing as a team sport. As participants progress, they will learn to belay under the close supervision of our instructors and will be paired with other students during class. This means your child will belay other participants and will also be belayed by other children enrolled in the program, with instructors actively supervising and backup belaying.

If you are not comfortable with your child participating in supervised partner climbing, we recommend our private climbing instruction (additional fees apply). Parents who wish to belay their own child are also encouraged to enroll in our Learn to Belay class so they can properly supervise their child's climbing outside of group programming.
Required Waivers: All participants must complete our Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, along with any additional program documents included in your booking confirmation email, before participating in any climbing activities.

The Fine Print

Cancellation

Club enrollment may be cancelled 20 days or more before the 1st of the month, which is the monthly billing date.

To cancel, log in to your Übergrippen Member Portal and go to Order History. Select your Club enrollment, then choose “Terminate” within the recurring Club enrollment.

Please note:

Cancellations must be submitted at least 20 days before the next billing date.
Cancellations submitted fewer than 20 days before the 1st will result in one additional month of billing, and your child will continue to have access to Club through the end of that month.
Club cancellations must be completed through the Member Portal.
Our staff cannot process cancellations over the phone, but we’re happy to help walk you through the steps if you have trouble.

Automatic Payment

Club enrollment requires automatic monthly payment by credit card or linked bank account.

Payment by credit card does incur a 3% processing fee each month. Payment by debit card or ACH avoids this processing fee.
